I know right? If someone delivered to be the best Computer in the world but I can’t do anything due to the lack of electricity, graphic card, etc. I swear i would probably become a ghost with a grudge or something.

Yeah, they’ll obviously have water after reincarnation but I think the offerings during funeral are what the deceased bring to their purgatory/river styx/limbo/whatever you call it on your own religion. Besides, if someone reincarnated into a species that doesn’t drink water, you really won’t need it. Actually, burning material things for someone to bring on the other life is just wasteful. Could I have those food/water instead? Could I have those money instead so I could donate to translators and have faster releases?

You know, other life is the afterlife. It is BEFORE you reincarnate so they are still pretty much human. No I don’t know what comes before/after reincarnation, rivers, soups or anything.
I just think that if there is a paper car w/o a paper engine, the car can’t be used. At that time, it would not be ‘offering for the dead’ but ‘trolling the dead’.
